In order to make the best use of our material in your Sophomore Year, there are a few things you and your swimmer should know and some tasks to complete if you have not already taken care of them.

• Register With The Eligibility Clearinghouse if your swimmer is considering swimming in NCAA Division I or Division III

• Become familiar with the differences between NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA and the divisions within them by reading A Useful Comparison Of The Divisions In College Swimming

• Consider factors regarding How To Narrow Your College Search as you and your swimmer start identifying colleges to visit and coaches to contact

• Read 5 Tips When Touring Colleges With Your Swimmer

If you have not already downloaded the NCAA Rules and Calendar, they are good references to keep handy.

On the Sophomore Year page, be sure to pay close attention to How To Identify College Swim Programs That May Be a Good Fit. This will give you tips on researching programs plus it has links to the conferences and the times that scored in the Conference Championships for each event. Some conferences have A and B Finals and others have A, B, and C Finals so there will be either 16 or 24 times for each event, depending on the conference.
